i have researched and thought of some ideas for my assignment such as:
- What types of soil affect the growth of seeds (e.g. tea leaves, gravel, coffee ground, etc.)
- Does packaging affect the ripening of fruit?
- effect of cigarette smoke on plants
- does the colour of light have an affect on the growth rate of a plant?
- will plants grow better when subjected to music?
- does the amount of light have an affect on the growth of plants?
but i am not very sure which one to use. I will be back later to choose my actual idea for my project.

those seem best to do, coz you can do a fair bit on them but its not unbelievably hard
and its scientific enough :)
